When fastening tools lined with fragile

the side tabs of the Stable-Solution

How To Install
(Most Surfaces and
Frames) |
 |
1. |
Hold the
Stable-Solution Fastener® against the surface.
(The open/rounded side should face outward,
toward you.) Put the tip of your felt pen
through the hole in the center of the clip, and
mark the frame. |
 |
2. |
If the surface
is metal, use your center punch to tap the mark
you made, creating a dent. |
 |
3. |
if the surface
is wood or fiberglass use a 1/8" drill bit for
screws only. (do not use the 1/4" drill bit) |
 |
4. |
If your need
calls for the use of a bolt & nut to securely
fasten the clip into place, protect the finish
by drilling a pilot hole into the mark you made.
Using the 1/8" drill bit. Now use the 1/4" drill
bit to enlarge this hole to the proper diameter. |
 |
5. |
Set the flat
washer into the clip’s built-in pocket, then set
the lock washer on top of it. Insert a screw (or
bolt) through both washers and the clip. Hold
the Stable-Solution Fastener® into position on
the surface, placing the tip of the screw (or
bolt) into the hole you drilled. |
 |
6. |
If using a
screw, tighten it snugly into place with your
screwdriver. If using a bolt, push it through
the hole and tighten the nut on the other side
with your wrench. Once installed, the
Stable-Solution Fastener® will rotate in any
direction you need |
|

|
How To Install
(Sheetrock) |
 |
1. |
On your toggle
bolt, remove the wings from the machine screw. |
 |
2. |
Hold the
Stable-Solution Fastener®
against the drywall. (The open/rounded side
should face outward, toward you.) Put the tip of
your felt pen through the hole in the center of
the clip, and mark the drywall. |
 |
3. |
Fit the proper
sized drill bit into your power drill, and drill
through the drywall into the mark you made. |
 |
4. |
Set the flat
washer into the clips built-in pocket. If the
size of the machine screw/ toggle bolt has a
threaded shaft smaller than 1/4" inch, you will
have to add another flat washer to match the
shaft size of the machine screw/ toggle bolt.
This will not allow the machine screw/ toggle
bolt to slip through the 1/4" inch hole centered
in both the first flat washer and the 1/4" inch
hole in the clip. Then place the machine screw/
toggle bolt through the two flat washers and
through the clip. Next place a 5/8" inch to 3/4"
inch flat washer with a 1/4" inch hole or
equivalent on the outer surface of the clips
pocket. This washer will prevent the clip from
sinking into the sheetrock when tightening into
place. Slide the machine screw / toggle bolt
through the washer. Re-place the wings on to the
machine screw / toggle bolt just far enough to
be sure they won't fall off. |
 |
5. |
Pull the screw
toward you until you feel the wings touch the
back side of the drywall. Maintaining
wing-to-wall contact will allow you to tighten
the screw without spinning the wings. |
 |
6. |
Using your
screwdriver, tighten the screw until the
Stable-Solution Fastener®
is snug and secure—but don’t over-tighten! You
don’t want to compromise the integrity of the
drywall or the toggle bolt’s capacity to bear a
load.
